Carfraemill is a unique experiences venue, restaurant and hotel (4*) in the north Scottish Borders with some exciting new products for the travel trade in 2020/21. Its rural location is 40 minutes south of Edinburgh and 20-30 minutes from beautiful Scottish Borders towns and attractions. Experiences include ceilidh dancing workshop, Scottish baking workshop, Scottish afternoon tea and high tea as well as sheepdog demonstrations and country sports on our hill estate. Guests can stay in 10 country-chic bedrooms and 4 farm cottages (up to 44 guests). Carfraemill’s highly experienced team cater for small and large numbers for breakfast, coffee stops, lunch, afternoon tea, high tea and dinner.

Scottish Food and Drink Trails offer food and drink tours and experiences. These are intimate, local, immersive and unique.The business was born out of our director Isobel MacEwan’s passion and love of Scottish food and drink.

We offer full-day and half-day tours and experiences. All our tours leave from Edinburgh or our base in Midlothian. Our scheduled tours and experiences operate with 2-8 people max and are bookable online. We also offer a bespoke service for the discerning traveller or small groups looking for their own immersive food and drink experience.

We ensure our customers taste Scottish food and drink they will never forget, so they leave with Scotland on their lips.

Dalkeith Country Park is a truly special place. Just a few miles from Edinburgh you’ll find Restoration Yard Store and Restaurant alongside Fort Douglas adventure park, set in a perfect 1,000 acre country estate.
