The David Livingstone Birthplace is scheduled to re-open in Summer 2020 after undergoing a £6.1 million refurbishment. It's a key visitor attraction near Glasgow on the site of the former Blantyre Works Mill, with cafe & shop, surrounded by 11 ha of parkland along the banks of the River Clyde.

The museum will be open from April to December, 5 days per week, closed Mondays & Tuesdays. Annual Passes or Day Visitor Tickets are available.

David Livingstone was a Scottish physician and pioneering Christian missionary who became a life-long abolitionist and well-respected explorer in Africa. His extraordinary story transformed him into one of the most popular British heroes of the Victorian era.
