Edinburgh has two main railway stations.
 
Edinburgh Waverley Station is a key hub in the national rail network.  East Coast operate direct routes from London’s King’s Cross.  The rail journey from London takes approximately 4½ hours.
 
Edinburgh Haymarket Station is the second main line station situated to the west of the city centre with routes from the north of Scotland.
