Getting to Aberdeen and the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference centre couldn't be easier….

The Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre enjoys excellent road, rail and air transport links. The Centre is positioned immediately adjacent to the A90 trunk road; follow the signs for Peterhead and Fraserburgh.

> By Road <

Aberdeen is accessible by road from Edinburgh or Glasgow in around 2 1/2 hours. Follow the M9 north to Perth and then the A90 trunk road to Aberdeen.

Alternatively if you wish to take in some more of the area's scenery on your journey follow either the A92 north from Dundee or the A93 from Perth.

> By Train <

Aberdeen's Railway Station is situated on Guild Street. The station has a taxi rank, car hire services and the main bus terminal nearby. Aberdeen's station is served by trains from Scotrail and GNER.

Trains from London to Aberdeen take 7-8 hours, however, some trains will require you to change at Edinburgh Waverley, though there are 3 direct trains from London to Aberdeen, or take the option of using the overnight sleeper service from London so you awake refreshed in Aberdeen.

Trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh take 3 and 2.5 hours respectively.There are one hourly services from Glasgow and Edinburgh and direct services from Birmingham and Plymouth.

> By Coach <

There are a large number of independent companies in the UK operating express coach services. The main operators are Scottish Citylink Coaches and National Express. They offer direct daily services and overnight services to Aberdeen's Guild Street Bus Station.

To transfer from Aberdeen Train and Bus Station to the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre will take approximately 10-20 minutes and there are various options to travel by taxi or bus.

> By Bus <

Bus services in Aberdeen are provided by FirstAberdeen, who have a modern, passenger friendly fleet of busses. Nearly all routes pass through Union Street and most major routes have real-time passenger information systems at the bus-stops, similar to that provided by London Underground.

Route 40, Park and Ride to the Exhibition Centre is every 15 mins during peak times from Union Street. For further information, call FirstAberdeen's Busline on 01224 650065. Fares vary between 70 pence and £1.80. Unlimited day tickets are also available from £2.70.

> By Air <

There are many ways of getting to Aberdeen and Grampian Highlands including flights to Aberdeen from 26 destinations. Aberdeen Airport is situated 7 miles north west of the city centre and offers easy access to the surrounding area. It is served by flights from throughout the UK, including daily flights to and from London, as well as international destinations such as Amsterdam, Dublin, Esbjerg, Paris and Stavanger. Many attractive low cost fares are available from airlines such as British Airways, bmi, Ryanair and EasyJet.

> By Sea <

From Rosyth, Aberdeen is a short drive, following the motorway to Perth then the A90 trunk route onwards to Aberdeen.

Aberdeen is the gateway to Orkney and Shetland with regular ferries from both. There are also frequent services from the continent to the north of England by DFDS from Ijmuiden, Amsterdam – Newcastle and P&O Zeebrugge – Hull.

> By Taxi <

Taxi ranks are located at the Railway Station, Chapel Street, Dee Street, Back Wynd, Justice Mill Lane and Market Street. Black cabs are not widely in use, however, all taxis have City of Aberdeen Taxi across the top of the sign on their roof. The average cost for a fare to the Exhibition Centre is £6-£7.
