Sailing across the Pentland Firth for more than 10 years our crossing is the shortest and quickest sea route to Orkney with your coach.

The crossing takes approximately one hour during which you will sail through Scapa Flowand into the Orkney Archipelago. Pentland Ferries offer the most sheltered route on the Pentland Firth, sailing between Gills Bay and St Margaret's Hope, for those unsure of travelling by sea.

Throughout the crossing there is the opportunity to see a wide selection of local wildlife including seals, porpoises, killer whales, puffins and feral cattle on the island of Swona.
