RAF Leuchars hosts its Battle of Britain Air Show on 15 September 2012, the weekend when the Royal Air Force celebrates the exploits of ‘The Few’.

The second largest non-sporting outdoor event in Scotland, attracting audiences in excess of 40,000 people, the Show provides an opportunity for RAF Leuchars to celebrate the Service at its best.  It gives the public the opportunity to visit an operational base, watch exhilarating displays from aircraft like the multi-role Typhoon aircraft, world famous Red Arrows, and a host of other attractions.

The Show is self financing and any additional revenue raised is donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund, Royal Air Force Association and local charities.

Cairnie Fruit Farm is a long established family run business in Cupar, Fife and is a popular local landmark. In 2007 it was awarded four stars by Visit Scotland. The farm is also currently a finalist in the prestigious 2011 Countryside Alliance Awards in the Best Rural Enterprise category.

The farm and Cairnie House itself is beautifully situated on 120 acres, 45 of which are producing top quality fruit for the highly regarded Pick Your Own as well as for the supermarket soft fruit industry. St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Company, Fife’s only artisan farmhouse cheesemakers, produce their own range of award-winning cheeses on the farm, using milk from the Stewart family’s herd of home-bred Friesian Holstein cows.  Visitors to the farm can watch the cheesemaking from a special Viewing Gallery area, where they can also see a video of the process.  The Farmhouse Coffee Shop serves a tempting selection of freshly cooked meals and homebaking and there is a small retail area selling locally sourced fine foods, gifts and cheeses.  Anster cheese, Red Anster and St Andrews Farmhouse – which are all made on the premises – are available to taste and buy.  An educational experience with fine foods, panoramic views and a friendly welcome await you at this 4 star Visitor Attraction.
