Profile:
2012 marks the centenary of the death of Captain Scott of the Antarctic. Discovery Point not only tells the story of Scott and his crew on his first voyage to Antarctica, it also is home to the ship which took him there in 1901, RRS Discovery, which was built in Dundee.
With a range of audiovisual shows, computer-based multimedia and displays of the actual artefacts, Discovery Point transports you to Antarctica, probably about as close as you'd ever want to come to one of the most inhospitable places on the planet.
Open all year round only closed 25 & 26 Dec and 1 & 2 Jan - all weather attraction with superb Gift Shop and Restaurant and FREE parking for coaches.
